The awkward silence that follows Cass catching Frankie so she doesn’t fall over the microphone devolves into an argument until Frankie notices movement at Lucas’s apartment. Then our intrepid duo man their stations at the window, Frankie with the microphone and tape recorder and Cass with the binoculars, to watch Lucas. But it turns out Lucas is only reading a book…silently, at that. After calling it a night on the Lucas watch, Cass finds a deck of tarot cards, which thrills Frankie. She talks him into picking two cards, but his response to the second card is not quite what Frankie had in mind.
