@TheHumanbeingHuman? Actually if the bible said “The world will end on 12/12/12 when a meteor hits the earth and ends all life” that would not be a self fulfilled prophecy. Hell even if it had said we would nuke ourselves to death it wouldn’t be a self fulfilled prophecy unless the bible was written in the time when anybody knew what a nuke was. The self fulfilling part is when it requires people to do the prophecy. The country wouldn’t even exist if it weren’t for people saying that it does.

i think ppl are missing the point of prophecy. A prophecy is an empowerment, for lack of a better word, that assures a person who has faith that no matter what, so and so would happen. If ppl don’t know about what is going to happen, then its? not a prophecy. If you make a to-do list and actually do them, its a kind of a prophecy fulfilled bacos you communicated it thru writing as a certain thing to happen and it actually did.
