You do not even hint at what they did. Was it a prank? Or was it something really cruel? It is always better to forgive. When you do not forgive you are the one who suffers. You carry hatred and resentment in your heart and it eats away at you and turns you into a mean and miserable person. Jesus says we should forgive not once, but seventy times seventy and that is a very wise position to take.

Here is what you do. You want to forgive and you still feel resentful, you cannot have both. You cleanse your self however is comfortable. This may be a simple shower or tub soak. Next you give your friends opportunity to make atonement. You give your friends chance to apologize.
If your friends do not offer atonement or apology will you be able to forgive?
